Building local capacity
In partnership with EACOP and Schneider Electric, SCL is proud to equip selected SMEs with the Highfield Level 2 International Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace.
This training empowers participants to strengthen workplace safety, recognise and manage hazards effectively, and foster a culture of protection for employees, customers and the public. It lays the foundation for further growth and higher-level training.
Giving back to the community · NEBOSH GIC
As part of our commitment to giving back to the communities we work in, SCL trained 10 members of the local community in the Albertine Graben, at the heart of Uganda’s oil and gas region, in the NEBOSH International General Certificate (GIC).
Our partner SLB helped us identify deserving beneficiaries from the local community, and SCL delivered the training. The delegates gained an internationally recognised safety qualification on their doorstep. Since qualifying, they have gone on to grow their careers in occupational safety and health, taking on bigger roles and responsibilities. That is the lasting, local impact we want our work to leave behind.

When it opens, it will hostOur Moodle learning portal hosts the full NEBOSH International General Certificate (GIC) as a self-study course, in English and in Portuguese. Work through each element, test yourself and prepare for both units, wherever you are.
