1. Who we are

Smart Compliance Limited ("SCL") is responsible for the personal data described on this page. We follow the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, and the data protection laws of the other countries where we work.

2. What we collect

• Your name, organisation, job title, email address, phone number and postal address.
• Learner details needed by awarding bodies, such as date of birth and identification details.
• Course records: attendance, e-learning progress, assessment results and certificates.
• Payment records: amounts, dates and references. Card and mobile money details are entered on our payment provider's secure page, and we do not see or store them.
• Messages you send us through our contact form, email or WhatsApp.

3. How we use it

• To book, deliver and support your course, e-learning, exam or service.
• To register learners with awarding bodies and issue certificates.
• To send invoices, receipts and service messages.
• To meet legal, accounting and awarding body requirements.
• To tell you about future courses, only if you have agreed. You can opt out at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We only share what is needed with: awarding bodies (such as NEBOSH, Highfield, PECB and ECITB); our e-learning platform provider; our payment provider; and, for company bookings, the organisation that booked or paid for the learner. We do not sell your personal data.

5. How long we keep it

We keep learner and certificate records for as long as awarding bodies require, and financial records for as long as tax law requires. We delete or anonymise other personal data when it is no longer needed.

6. How we protect it

We use password-protected systems and limit access to staff who need it. Our website and e-learning platform use secure (HTTPS) connections.

7. Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can also object to marketing at any time. To do this, contact us using the details below.

8. Cookies

Our website uses only the cookies needed for it to work. Our e-learning platform uses cookies to keep you logged in.
